15May2001-15Feb2009
Upon graduating Basic I was stationed in Schofield Barracks, HI. Tough break! It wasn't all sunshine and rainbows!! [You see what i did there?] I digress. Upon receiving bad news of deployment to Afghanistan, was stop lossed, as an extension to my original

contract, I stayed an extra year in active duty. Came back home and moved to Appomattox, VA. Six months of being a civilian, in Virginia was tough. I soon decided to join the National Guard only to spent time in Camp Atterbury for training, then to Germany, then to our final destination, Kosovo. Not as serious, but still dangerous enough. Upon re-deploying home, my last year of my 8 year contract was spent as an Unarmed Self Defense instructor in Ft. Dix, NJ.

It all happened so fast, and I know that I will never catch up to life, but I'll be damned if I didn't try to keep up!! So here I am, fresh out of boots, turned in my M-16 for a T2i.
15Feb2009 and BEYOND...
Soon after I separated from the military, I enrolled classes at ITT Tech, and went on to study Multimedia Design. With intentions of doing something I have always wanted to do. Be creative. Excelling faster each day and really becoming unleashed! I aced all of my course studies and found hidden talents throughout. Classes consisted of Adobe Creative Suite, 3DS Max, Drawing, code reading, basic designing classes. I do remember being attached to my film editing, it was and still is a fascinating world.

After
ITT, I wanted more, so I enrolled at Art Institute of Novi, in hopes they would soon be getting a film major. In my first couple of weeks, I had a lot of classes with the photographers, or we would constantly run into each other. I started asking simple questions and renting the camera out of Supply Cage everyday. Until six months later, I transferred to the Chicago site. Bought a camera and I've been doing it ever since. I moved back to Michigan, it was a smart move to see my son.

While back in Michigan, I was hired as a sports photographer at Prestige Portraits and worked my way into the studio. Until one day, I decided, "I WANT MORE!!",so here I am! Trying to get back in it, but on my own!

That's my story as of now. I love what I do, I can't stop doing it. This is not my hobby, it's my drive. I would like to one day, open a studio, where people can come hang out, rent time in studio at a good price. Well that's all for now, Thank you for taking your time to read this and hopefully I will see you soon!

"I have always had a love for photography, but never really got into it until the past three or four years. I regret not getting into it sooner, but I don't regret anything I've done so far. It has lead me to where I am today and I am so happy I know the people I know today and I can't wait to show you what I have in store for you in the future!"                                                                                                                                                                            -MH-
